2.2 Approach to Learning Learning Activities

Step 1: Watch recorded lecture, videos Duration: 3hrs Content delivery in the flipped classroom: all students complete this work asynchronously online, in their own time. Make sure that this work is completed before Step 2. Step 2: Share ideas with peers and explore the application of key concepts by participating in a discussion and other activities. Duration: 3 hrs If you are registered for an on-campus workshop, then attend a face to face on-campus workshop and participate in discussions. If you are registered for an online workshop, then Zoom into an online workshop and participate in discussions Apart from these 6 hours, you are expected to dedicate 4 hours per week to homework and assessments since this unit has 10 credit points. This unit occurs over four Saturdays. There will be a series of pre-recorded lecture presentations and videos that the students will be required to watch before they attend the on-campus or zoom workshop. A member of the teaching team will be conducting each of the workshops. It is important that you complete all the activities assigned to you in Step 1 before you attend the workshop for each week. This will enable you to engage in an informed discussion. This unit relies heavily on students’ classroom participation and discussion. 4
