A 2-Axis Solar Tracker made to orient a PV Panel towards the sun for the whole day.

x1 Stepper motor (360 Degrees Z-axis rotation movement)

x1 Servo Motor (45 Degrees X-axis rotation movement)

Incorporation of four LDR sensors for a complete 360 degree Solar Tracking system.

The solar panel casts a shadow onto the LDRs then this detectind and using the arduino, the actuators are controlled accordingly.

Using a Wall plug 12 V adapter Stepped down to 5-6V DC using a Synchronous Buck Converter that can be later swapped for a 12 Battery or stronger solar cell.

Essentially, the hardware and electronics implemented in the project will allow a solar panel to follow the position of the sun. Similar large-scale projects across Australia have found this method to increase energy output by up to 25%. This is a substantial difference. This project will determine the feasibility of solar tracking by designing and testing a prototype.
