1. Group formation

 This assignment is to be completed in groups of up to 4 students. Students must form groups by themselves. Groups may be formed by students from different tutorials.

 Your group/you must select a (one) bank from one of the banks listed below. Note that there is a cap on the number of times a bank can be selected. First come, first serve applies to the selection of banks.

 To form groups and select a bank, sign up on Canvas. Housekeeping rules on group formation through Canvas. Marks may be deducted if not respected.

 Once you click the “sign up” button, you cannot change to another group by yourself anymore. If you accidentally signed up to a group and wish to switch, you will need to send an e-mail to thomas.matthys@uts.edu.au.

 If you want to join a group in which there are already members, it is polite to request to join.

 Every group member needs to sign up to the group.

 Free rider problem. Send an e-mail to thomas.matthys@uts.edu.au if you encounter any free rider behaviour. It is important you signal this behaviour as early as possible such that we can solve the issue.

2. Report formatting

 The first page of the report is the cover sheet template, found on Canvas under Assignments – Group assignment – Group assignment_Cover sheet.docx Full student names and student numbers are to be provided on the cover sheet.

•  The scope of this assignment is limited to 10 pages not including appendices and cover sheet. Use standard fonts (think Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial) and font sizes, and reasonable line spacing options. There is no specific word count.
•  All calculations have to be shown and central assumptions stated (can be in appendix).
•  Referencing. If you mention financial data then you don’t need to reference the annual report every single time. If you draw on the annual report (or other sources) to provide an explanation of the underlying drivers, then reference appropriately.
