This assignment requires you to create a video presentation of no longer than 10 minutes duration in response to one of the following titles:

• The Occupiers’ Liability Act 1984 was required to address the deficiencies that existed under the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1957. To what extent do you think the Occupiers’ Act 1984 was necessary and successful in addressing these deficiencies?
• What are the justifications for imposing liability on an employer for the tortious conduct of their employees, committed whilst in the course of their employment? How far do you agree that those justifications are supported by the case law governing vicarious liability?
• In cases of medical negligence, does tort law strike an appropriate balance between allowing claims and deference to the expertise of medical professionals?
• Does the rule in Rylands v Fletcher retain contemporary significance? How distinct is it from nuisance and negligence? How might it be used to secure environmental protections?

In exploring one of the above titles, students are expected to use a range of both primary and secondary sources to support their discussion of the questions asked. A reference list should be provided in your video presentation
