Introduction
Building on McClelland’s (1973) view, Competency term that was defined by Boyatzis (1982) as an underlying characteristic that the person possess lead to achieve outstanding performance. Basically, it is a mixture of knowledge and skills that are required for an effective performance, (Bhardwaj, 2013). Many studies showed that competencies are a cluster of the related knowledge, skills characteristics and attitudes that correlates with effective performance and can be measured evaluated, and strength through training and development programs. It is considered as a common term for employees to assert their working and show the real activities (Berge et al., 2002), though, there are several definitions for competency, but basically, there are two definitions of competencies, the first one is the characterizes competencies which is the power that is linked and associated with persons’ body. The second definition of competencies is the personal capacity (e.g) the abilities, skills, behaviors, and knowledge to do a certain activity. Generally, competency is a mixture of the persons’ knowledge, skills, ability and how employees behave in the workplace, these aspects are an outcome that reflecting organizations performance level Martina et al (2012),Asumeng, (2014). Management competencies identify the specific attributes and capabilities that illustrates an individual’s management potential. (Cole& Kelly 2020). A competency framework is the model which broadly describes the performance excellence within organization. It includes multiple competencies which applied to various organizational occupations for effective performance. I developed multiple competencies studying this theoretical and practical module in both semesters. I prepared my competencies framework (portfolio page 3) including my competencies which, I developed by involving in different practical tasks and objectives the main competency in organization is teamwork. Harris & Harris (1996) explain that a team has a common goal or purpose where team members can develop effective, mutual relationships to achieve team goals. Teamwork relies upon individuals working together in a cooperative environment to achieve common team goals through sharing knowledge and skills. Problem solving is another major aspect of good managerial skills which I included in my framework (portfolio page 4). complex problems typically involve one or more dimensions of evaluating potential goal states may help to explicate differences in goal states and to detect and resolve conflicts between the various dimensions of goals. Human wisdom – knowledge and deep understanding of fundamental goals and how to reach them (Fischer, 2015b). I believe managerial skills and knowledge is the backbone of management which I include in my framework and developed my managerial competencies throughout semesters. According to David MacClland (1980s,) managerial competencies help organizations to be more unified and allow organizations to apply a coordinated approach in designing improvements to employees and organizational learning as well as career management in different sectors such as private and public sectors to a better coordination and integration, it as an integrated approach that is linked with a person’s knowledge and behaviors to describe performance mechanism in the organization. Communication competence is the road to effective tasks achievements. The individual's ability to understand or report knowledge of how objectives can be satisfactorily achieved (Chomsky 1965; McCroskey 1982; Phillips 1984).
