Assignment Task:

Introduction

This assessment is about the principal skills and knowledge of a strategic manager and leader, for those who are new to the role.

Scenario

You are a new senior manager at a medium sized organisation. As part of your probation you need to develop your skills and knowledge within the organisation. One main focus is to show how each individual contributes to the organisations strategy and so the creation of a personal development plan is aimed at clarifying this. A range of management roles need to be learned and the PDP (Personal Development Plan) will record and monitor the progress made.

Organisations need contributions from every individual in order to achieve its strategic ambitions. Evaluate how a personal development and PDP can assist in meeting organisations objectives. Explain how the impact of the PDP can be measured in relation to meeting organisational objectives.
