Task:  Being able to communicate in diverse ways is an important skill. Whether you are a scientist presenting your research at a conference, a practitioner communicating information for an intervention or a professional seeking support for resources, a poster is a useful communication form. For this task you need to: 1. Choose a global health topic and provide a convincing case for why WHO should support investment (remember: WHO will not directly fund this but will fund guidance material or advocate for other agencies eg. other UN or donors or government to invest) in your topic . Theoretically your poster will be one of many in a room with each poster promoting the importance of their global health topic. 2. Develop a poster (in PDF file) to communicate your chosen topic. You will not actually need to print it or present it but prepare it assuming you would. 3. Your submitted PDF file should include 2 pages. The first page should include the content and the reference list should be included on the back/second page (using numbered APA ref style). You will need to submit this 2 paged PDF file in Turnitin. 4. The poster content should cover the following (with references): a. why is your chosen topic a ‘global health’ issue?, b. a description of the basic problem and differences across countries and/or within countries c. determinants (ie. Why is it a problem? What are the underlying drivers of the problem), d. challenges for reducing the problem? Also consider the following in your poster: e. does your topic link to an SDG or SDGs– how? f. identify and describe some of the health system challenges which influence how this global health topic might be managed by looking at the WHO health system building blocks.
