YOUR TASK(S)

1. Draw.io and Oracle’s SQL Developer Data Modeler are two data modelling CASE tools that can help data designers to create and maintain databases, data warehouses and enterprise data models. Produce a brief technical report, not more than 800 words long, where you would compare and contrast the above two CASE tools focusing primality on the evaluation of the data modelling features the above CASE tools support.
2. Identify the entities (and their attributes) that need to be modelled along with any relationships that may exist between these entities; for each entity/relationship identify any constraints that may exist, document your findings in a tabular format; i.e. (a) for each entity you should create a table where you should list the entity’s attributes along with their respective domains (datatype along with any further constraints that restrict the set off possible values); (b) a single relationships table where you should list, for each of the identified relationships, the name and type (binary, ternary, etc) of the relationship, the entities the relationship links along with the respective multiplicities.
3. Choose one of the two CASE tools you evaluated above to create an Enhanced Entity Relationship Diagram (Conceptual E-ERD) that represents in a pictorial way the entities, attributes, relationships and constraints (domains, multiplicities) you identified above. NB: you can use any of the notations found in the bibliography to construct your E-ERD (i.e. notation that is not found in bibliography cannot be accepted). `
4. Using your chosen CASE tool, to map the Conceptual E-ERD you created above to an equivalent Logical Entity Relationship Diagram. Explain in detail your workings.
5. Use the Logical E-ERD you devised above to produce an equivalent relational schema; make sure that you clearly identify the attributes (attribute name, datatype) of each relation, all primary and foreign keys along with any other table and/or column constraints that may exist
