A database forms part of the "back end" of many types of applications.
In class, we experimented with several ways to add a "front end" or user interface to our databases. These include Microsoft Access forms and reports, Microsoft Excel PivotTables and PivotCharts, and data visualizations built with Tableau. You can also build mobile apps, stand-alone applications with languages like - ner types of front-ends.
For this section of milestone 4, you will build and demonstrate, as part of your team presentation, a front-end of some type to your database. This is an extension of the in-class exercise linking to MS Access. Create any two of the following for this milestone:
• MS Access form
• MS Access report
• A web page that shows the results of an interesting query, or allows add + delete functions A program you wrote in C# or another language that creates, reads, updates, or deletes data )0. A mobile app or something else to challenge your skills
Note that each of thTse may require some self-guided training or practice outside of class. So pick something you're interested in, or expect to use in the future at a job or internship.
NOT acceptable for this assignment:
An Access form that looks exactly like a simple linked table in MS Access
• An Access form for a single table without totals calculated
• A static data dump to Excel (which does not change when the data in the DB is updated) A web page which simply displays a "SELECT * FROM" query
For full credit, this section deliverables must include:
1. Snapshots of your front-end applications. These will be added to the .pdt file created for section 1.
