NB. Although these are individual essays they relate to the group project. As such each essay from the group members should have a common statement of the research topic of 120 words max. If there are options that influence the choice of methods then these should be presented here. 

In relation to your proposed project topic explore one of the following: 

1. a) A particular research method which you see as being feasible for your research. Your essay should include a description of the method, a discussion of its strengths and weaknesses and an assessment of how it could be used in your project. OR

2. b) A particular theory or analytical framework which you could apply to your research. You may wish to include why a particular approach is superior to other approaches. You should include a full discussion of the theory/framework and include examples of its application in reported research. OR

3. c) A literature review on the issue you wish to explore in the project. This option should include a summary on how you have approached the literature review and selected the items reviewed.
