Task: For this assessment, you will need to: • Read the readings for weeks one (1) and two (2) and write two (2) short pieces of academic writing in response to each research question. • Contributions should have a short introduction, a body and a short conclusion. • Contributions should be 600 words each. • All contributions should be referenced to relevant readings and research and be professionally written. Assessment 1: Research Task 1 Discuss the complexities of literacy learning for Aboriginal children and methods for supporting positive literacy outcomes. Assessment 1: Research Task 2 Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of phonics and whole language approaches to teaching reading. Justify why educators should provide a blended approach and describe how to facilitate this. Your assessment must use correct referencing, in APA style. All submissions must comply with the requirements listed in the Student Handbook for this course.
