With 2,000 words, evaluate and develop your own leadership style. 
 
ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION 
In the first assessment, you were asked to identify a leader in your immediate surroundings, how their leadership style affects their subordinates, other stakeholders and productivity, and how different leadership styles would impact the same scenarios. For this final assessment, you will look inward at your own leadership style, by providing an example of when you have acted as a leader, and critically reflect on your own leadership qualities and style.  
An important aspect of this assignment is cultural awareness. Be critical of not just individual cultures but also the organizational culture of the workplace. Think about how your leadership style may have been derived from your personal cultural background and also analyze the reception of your style of leadership from the perspective of the entrenched organizational culture.  
For example, if your style is distinctly authoritarian, perhaps it conflicts with the laissez-faire culture of the organization.  
 
PROCESS 
This assessment is divided into three sections (note that section lengths and outlines are recommendations):  
Section 1 – Context (400 words). In the first section you should describe the context in which you have acted as a leader. ?What were your responsibilities? Whom were you leading? What was required of you? What was your end goal? Make sure to give a rich understanding of the leadership situation and your role.  
Section 2 – Self-analysis (600 words). For the second section, you are required to analyze your own leadership traits, characteristics, and style. For instance, you might want to recall Chapter 3, which discusses the impact of demographic factors, values, abilities/skills, and personality traits. How do these relate to your leadership style (Chapter 2)? Why – given the context and your personal characteristics, did you employ a particular style of leadership? Were you implementing a style that contradicted your normal personality? How did that impact the efficacy of your leadership?  
Section 3 – Critical Reflection (1,000 words). This final section not only consists of critical reflection of your leadership. This is important not just for your assessment but for your future improvement as a leader.  
Given what you wrote in the previous two sections, how might you improve your own leadership style? Would this entail changing, or reinforcing, your personality traits? Given the benefit of hindsight, would another leadership style have yielded better results in the past? Would you use the same style in a different context?  
Knowing the importance of culture, how does this relate to leadership and furthermore, can your leadership be used to influence an entrenched culture? How?
