Scenario 1:
You are a junior accountant in a small accountancy firm, and you have been asked to prepare and produce a range of final accounts for a number of different businesses. You have been provided with a range of information below of financial details from which to create a general ledger, trial balance, statement of profit or loss and statement of financial position. You will need to make adjustments as required and once the general ledger is completed you will also have to check the bank statements provided to make any bank reconciliations.

William is a retailer and started a retail shop called GG Equipment which has been buying and selling sports equipment since 1 st April 2016. The accounting period cycle for the business is from 1 st April – 31 th March. William owns a 3-stories shop lot, which he rented the 2 nd floor to his friend, Moria with a monthly rental of $2,000 starting from 1 st October 2019. The ground floor and 1 st floor of the shop lot are being used for his own sports equipment store.
