Aim
The aim of this qualitative research was to investigate the perceptions of Anglicare Southern Queensland (ASQ) staff on research utilisation practices in patient/client care and to further confirm Dr Clint Moloney’s evidence based practice research utilisation model The Spillway Model. Dr Moloney engaged six ASQ staff (research fellows) to undertake separate evidence-based implementation projects across 3 different sites in south east. Queensland in July 2013. Dr Moloney using convergent interviews determined the perceived barriers and facilitators on the success or failure of the proposed evidence utilisation projects that commenced in July 2013. This was achieved through convergent interviews with relevant care staff exposed to new standards of care, taking into account their perceptions of those of the research fellows.
