Assignment Task

You are required to select an accounting research topic of your choice and prepare a research proposal for your chosen research. 

In your research proposal, you need to follow the tasks given below:

1. Provide an introduction and a background about your chosen topic. Provide the underlying rationale for the research and research gap. Identify the purpose of the research. Provide a clear research question or propositions or hypotheses, aim and the objectives of the research.

2. Provide a mini literature review. Critically evaluate the literature concerning your chosen topic. Discuss the theoretical frameworks that are used to guide your research.

3. Provide the methodology and methods that you plan to use in conducting your research. Justify the methodological approach you intend to employ for your research. Identify your intended research design and justify how the data for your study will be collected and analysed. Provide a pilot study by applying your chosen methodology. Ensure that your research meets the ethical standards of our University. 

4. Discuss the significance of your proposed research by reviewing your research contributions and what you may find or demonstrate by having undertaken your research. Outline research limitations and suggest directions for further research.

You need to critically evaluate, discuss and justify all the above with reference to published works. You need to develop a research proposal that meets the requirements of Level 6.
