• Through my research it was made evident that many homeless people don't have adequate access to hygiene facilities and this dramatically increases their risk of obtaining infectious diseases. Therefore I thought that it was incredibly important to create a theme “To help expose information about homeless people’s hygiene and build empathy about this problem amongst other people who are well off, with good access to sanitation.” I wanted to create something that would capture the audiences attention, but also leave them thinking about how they could help and grow their empathy on such a devastating issue. By this I empathized on the design elements and principles of colour by using analogous scheme of blues and green, cropping and proportion of the raindrops and also a strong sense of figure and ground creating depth and space throughout the design. Through advertising my GIF banner on social media such as Instagram and Youtube I feel that the message will get across to members of the public that are well off and therefore it will be a purposeful impact on them emotionally about hygiene for the homeless.
