Build the ADC Simulink Model as shown in Figure 2 in the paper.

Configure the blocks as follows:

  • Use any Sine wave and change the pulse generator from time-based to sample-based; keep “1” as default for all values during an initial run.
  • Change the uniform encoder to 4 bits.

Do the following:

  • Change the number of samples from 1 to 5 at any interval and record the outputs. Show allfour signals in one scope in four layouts (sine wave, pulse generator, the signal after Quantizer and the signal after uniform encoder).
  • Change the 4-bit encoder to 8-bit and perform the sample change.
  • Write your observation on the function of the Quantizer and Encoder.
