These is realised by using PV panels and pumps.The smallest element of a PV panel is the solar cell. The solar cell has layers of semiconductor material that produce direct current (DC) electricity when exposed to light. This DC current through the panel will be made as the source energy supplied for the water pump, which pumps water whenever the sun shines, or water is stored for later use when the sun is not shining, eliminating the need for batteries. Thus, a low-cost system can be developed for the rural farms. The aim is to design direct-coupled PV powered pumping systems, with help of PV module using maximum efficiency, by making use of MPPT implemented in the boost converter circuit for boosting output DC of solar PV, using PWM controlled inverter fed as input of an induction motor.
