Amberley- It is a small town located in Hurunui District, Canterbury with an area of 2,329,617.5 Square/meters (Figure:2). The Latitude and Longitude are 43.1577° S, 172.7301° E

Belfast- It is the city in Christchurch located near to the Waimakariri Council, Canterbury with an area of 3,227.0736 square/meters (Figure:3). The Latitude and Longitude are 43°27′00″S 172°37′59″E

Kaiapoi – It is the town located in Waimakariri Council, Canterbury with an area of 6,266,079.7 square/meter (Figure:4). The latitude and longitude are 43.3787° S, 172.6623° E

Resource Management

The student of Resource management studying at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology collected the data for GIS of different cities. A particular goal of finding the green area was to maintain the ecosystem of the earth and more beneficial to the human environment because green spaces is good for mental health as it reduces the Psychiatric Disorder (Engemann,k. et al, 2019). Students identifying the green spaces in different cities such as Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Belfast, Amberley. The data was collected through district councils (Waimakariri and Hurunui council) and google earth which provided all information on green parks and reserves. 
The Canterbury Map (map viewer) from the district council was used to measure the area of different parks, reserves, hospitals, golf clubs. The area was measured in meters square. The total area of the park includes infrastructure, grass area, and vegetation area (Canterbury Maps, 2020)

Reason to choose this method: This method was used to collect data because is easily accessible. Canterbury map provides the total area of particular cities and outline of boundaries. From google earth we measure the green space area easily with the help of a measuring tool. 
A lot of complexity and a lot of training is required to collect the data. Another problem was in google earth accurate boundary was not defined. The steps were taken to prevent this problem by using a council map as it shows the exact boundary of each area. While measuring green space area in goggle earth continue referring to council map.
The data were analyzed by the visual method in map viewer by Creating 2-D and 3-d maps. The best method is to analyze what was performed directly in an excel spreadsheet.
Recording location was done by noting down the latitude and longitude of every point where the data was collected by using location in the map. Data was analyzed by using excel and perform a different kind of statically test. Different kind of graph were used to represent the data. Different kinds of statistical tests were performed to analyze the collected data.
