Jill Campbell is an 84-year-old Caucasian female with osteoporosis, lumbar compression fractures and chronic pain. She was discharged to rehab on 24/10/2016.Admitted via emergency department at 1400hrs on 02/11/2016, sreported pain in her vulvar/labial region and feeling dizzy and nauseous.Hourly vital signs showed she was hypotensive and febrile Jill’s condition declined despite being given paracetamol, morphine and midodrine medication at 1415 hrs and she was sent to the critical intensive care unit at 1530hrs.Doctors discussed with Jill and her family her declining health and her code status was revised to NFR.Upon the patient and family’s request, midodrine medication was withdrawn at 2000hrs and Jill died approximately 2 hours later with family at her side and evening staff and Doctor James notified at 2206hrs.
