As part of your studies of Ancient History, you have been examining the ancient site of Masada, its historical significance and the historical events that took place at the site.

Task

Your task is to complete Part A , 3 questions related to the siege and archaeology of Masada, as well as Part B , a correctly formatted bibliography identifying the sources you have used in your responses.

Part A

Question 1

You are to answer the following question:

Describe the role of Gessius Florus in the outbreak of revolt in Judea.

Question - should be approximately 150 words.

Question 2

You are to answer the following question:

Assess the reliability of Josephus as a source for the Siege of Masada.

Question - should be approximately words and should include at least THREE sources.

Question 3

You are to answer the following question:

To what extent is Masada “an archaeological site of great significance”?

Question - should be words and should include at least THREE primary and THREE secondary sources.

Part B – Bibliography

You are to submit a correctly formatted bibliography of at least SIX sources, both primary and secondary. The sources must be listed separately in alphabetical order. A handout on the correct format will be available on Google Classroom.
