Assignment Task

Define a few questions to which the analysis of the information represented in your dataset could make it possible to provide answers based on the observation of the distribution of data, the study of correlations and the comparison between groups of descriptive statistics (points bonus if you also include the calculation of confidence intervals, cf. solutions for the sample file).

1. What can be said about the distribution of road length?

2. What about limiting yourself to departmental roads?

3. To what extent does the number of vehicles using a road depend on the length of that road?

4. Is this ratio the same for the different road types?

5. Are departmental roads shorter on average than national roads? Is there a difference in length depending on the number of lanes?

6. Present your results in the form of tables and/or figures, completing with a few sentences.

7. Explanations (how did you proceed?) and justification (on what do you rely to draw these findings?
