Your task is to analyse a variety of vignettes (i.e., short case studies), featuring diverse people with a range of health issues and provide your findings in a written report:

1. Introduction

2. Analysis of Vignettes 

Use the vignettes provided in Appendix 1 to explain and justify the clinical approaches commonly used by mental health nurses to support people with mental illness.

For each of the five vignettes provided, you are to apply at least one of the following clinical practices, with all ten clinical practices applied at least once:

1. Conduct a range of assessments appropriate to the needs of the consumers.

2. Build a therapeutic relationship with the consumer.

3. Engage in ethical (including culturally appropriate) and collaborative decision-making processes.

4. Co-develop recovery plan.

5. Work actively as a key part of the multidisciplinary team.

6. Engage with family members or carers.

7. Support appropriate non-pharmacological interventions (including talking and/or psychological and/or behavioural approaches or therapies, psychoeducation or other mental health promotion approaches, and other approaches as appropriate).

8. Support appropriate pharmacological interventions (including assessment of drug interactions, adverse side effects, psychoeducation, and other aspects as appropriate).

9. Achieve optimal physical health and mental health recovery according to the consumers' needs and preferences.

10. Evaluate the effectiveness of the outcomes achieved.
