Animal Farm has power, politics and personality throughout the novel. The leaps that by Napoleon take and have been used by dictators from Julius Caesar to Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin to achieve their ambitions. Animal farm – a fair story is an allegorical novel by George Orwell written in England 1944-45 published in 1945. It is set in a farm in England in the first half of the 20 th century. The novel tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, Mr jones, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy with the influence of power, politics and personality.

Power is being able to have control over someone or something by have a strong powerful influence on someone or something. The more power and control someone have on someone the more they can become corrupted and drifts away from their first thoughts. Corruption happens in animal farm when the sixth commandment of animalism “no animal shall kill any other animal” but napoleon has done it many times. Power in animal farm is shown by napoleon, napoleon uses vague language, propaganda and misinformation to control the thoughts and beliefs over the farm which that’s a form of Totalitarianism. He also uses manipulation to manipulate the other animals to believe that he has the benefits even though that he tried to kill off those other animals who every didn’t aggreg with what napoleon thought. Napoleon only believes “comrades, do you know who is responsible for this? do you know the enemy who has come in the night and overthrown our windmill? SNOWBALL!”. he is saying this so he can easily persuade to think that snowball is in the wrong. Napoleon says this to symbolize that the pigs are making use of false claims to enmity to snowball and cover up their own guilt. The nine attack dogs are their there to threaten all of the animals to gain his power over the other animals. Mr jones also uses all his power by when he treats his animals really badly
