4. Use the Applied Creativity and Innovation Model as a basis, when analysing these sectors. These are the 5 stages of the model: Identify the challenges, State the situation, Ideation, Explore a few possible solutions, Implement the chosen solutions.

5. While you are conducting your research for writing this report, I would like you to think of an innovative start-up business idea. Your start-up business idea can be in any of the 5 Sectors (accommodation, F&B, Recreation & Entertainment, Transportation and Travel Services) of the Tourism Industry in Australia. Your chosen start-up business must demonstrate some elements of creativity and innovation and it will be the focus for the Business Model Canvas in assessment 3 (Due in week 9) and for the Video Presentation of the Business Plan in assessment 4 (Due in week 11).

1. Analyse in depth the contribution of the Tourism Industry to the economy of Australia in terms of the economy and to the workforce.

2. Identify and discuss the present challenges of the Accommodation, Food & Beverage and the Travel sectors in Australia.

4. Research the ideas that have been discussed by the Australian government, businesses and other stakeholders to revive the Tourism Industry in the recovery phase post-pandemic. You may also recommend your own ideas.

5. For each of the main sectors identified, recommend possible solutions that can overcome the challenges that they are facing.

6. Select one or two solutions that can be implemented and describe how the solution can be implemented. You need to consider whether the solution is measurable?
