You are provided with the architectural model for a 3-storey hotel building. You will be working on Level 2 and you will be designated a single room to complete the Building Systems (MEP) design drafting as well as work in peripheral areas as indicated.

You are permitted to use your notes as well as your text book but you are not permitted to watch any videos or access the internet for help except for when accessing it via the Revit Help system.

Using the model supplied to you, you are required to:

1. Link the Architectural file into an appropriate MEP Template of your choice (you will need a template that can handle both HAVC and Electrical).  

2. Copy/Monitor Levels, and replace all architectural fixtures in your assigned room with MEP fixtures (ones with connectors).

   1. Make sure the Elevation symbols are moved around the building in each of the views you have just created.

   2. In the “West -Mech” elevation view Copy and Monitor all the Levels from the Revit Link and then turn off the Revit Link’s Levels (note this is view specific).

   3. Create Power / Plumbing and HVAC Plan Views and a Lighting Reflective Ceiling Plan

for the level your assigned room is on.

1. 4. Delete the Floor Plans beginning with ‘0 –‘ & ‘1 –‘ from each of the above sections/disciplines both from the “Floor Plans” and “Ceiling Plan” sections.  Should look similar to below.
