    2. Task / Scope 

The Purpose of this project is to provide a graphic design solution that encompasses creating signage and wayfinding concept and graphics for a Specific Building of Architectural Significance. The Final should encompass all that the student has learnt in the course in terms of graphic design theory, creative process and technical skills In groups of two, select a building from the following list. The only project listed can be selected, no two groups can have the same building. We will define the groups and assign the buildings in class. Project List:

Guidelines: Presentation boards You have the opportunity to revise your presentation boards from the last submission. Way-finding and Signage Concept – 4 x A2 Boards combined to one For Part Two you are to imagine that you have been tasked with designing a concept for a signage and way-finding system for your chosen Building that covers both the interior and exterior of the building. You should present on four A2 boards, a holistic concept for signage and way-finding that is appropriate and specific to the architectural, interior and landscape concept of your building. As well as having a specific concept for your building, your design idea should show your understanding of the basic typologies of signage systems and their specific requirements. At a minimum, must include the detailed design for General information, direction indicators, destination indicators, floor identification, facilities identification. (include at least 3 rendered contextual perspectives, dimensions, general materiality and detailed description) Board layout must clearly visually speak to the previous submission and/or building design concept. Please account for one or more suitable languages required for the project’s location. Computer Software requirements: As with other submissions in this course, you MUST use Adobe InDesign to create your board layouts. Of course, additional software or hand drawing techniques can be used to create your graphics and presentation materials. For all Graphic work, you MUST include the original graphics files in the native format if you want to be assessed on your technical graphics skills. ( so all .idd, .psd .ai files should be included in your soft copy upload) Remember to package your file properly, including all linked files and fonts. Submission requirements: All Softcopies must be uploaded in full as a single .zip file onto Moodle (not .rar) As this is a Final Examination, please note that LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
