Aim
Is to design and develop a programmable power supply using Arduino software.
For the above to be completed will be required to build the circuit for the Linear Power Supply using the Arduino software to control the output voltage desired for the project.
Objectives
In this project, we will investigate some of the important characteristics of the linear power supply as follows:
1. To investigate the major parts of the design of the linear power supply and how they work.
2. To build up the regulator circuit from discrete transistors, and the interaction between the main circuit and the microcontroller.
3. To select suitable heatsink requirements for the designed circuit.
4. To find out the per cent efficiency rating.
5. To determine the minimum differential voltage needed for the main circuit.
6. To implement this project, we must define the voltage and current protection circuit.
7. To investigate the power dissipated in the circuit and the effect to the circuit.
8. To search for a different option microcontroller.
9. Using the software package for the National instrument “Multisim”.
10. Search for the C Code programming and may use the Arduino software.
