As such, various personality tests are often used to predict levels of life satisfaction, social interaction and achievement motivation. However, we need to be critical of these personality tests. Not only do personality tests need to be reliable (measurably sound) and valid (representative of what it is they are supposed to measure), they also need to be culturally appropriate and sensitive to the diversities and needs of people from various backgrounds.
