Brief

For the third and final assignment you are going to further develop the model you made for assignment 2 and present the developed digital model as a coherent set of structural drawings. You will be including the retaining wall, stairs and further resolving the balcony.

General

  • All drawings are to be clear, neat and have a title block
  • Use line weights to make drawings more legible
  • Ensure drawings are neatly annotated and building components including supplier are mentioned
  • Provide grids, section markers and detail markers
  • Dimension each drawing as required

These are to be of the roof/ wall junction, first floor/ wall junction and ground floor/ wall junction on each side of the one short and one long section.
Draw all the details so the relationships between each detail can be seen as per the example drawing below. The sample drawing consists thus of six details.

Preamble

As recent graduates it is likely you will start working for someone else and will need to be able to develop sketches and designs that are not yet completely resolved. In fact, these sketches are often not great, and your job is to make them not only work but create interesting pieces of architecture.
