Article Critique: Students may refer to the course textbook (Polit & Beck (2021) – “Guide to an Overall Critique of a Quantitative Research Report” in Chapter 5) when writing the critique(s) of the selected research article(s). For each section of the article, use the questions in the corresponding section of the guidelines located in the textbook as a guide. Do not simply respond to the questions with a “yes” or “no” answer, but rather apply the questions to the article you are critiquing to carefully appraise and critically evaluate the study.

The critique must include your thoughts about the strengths and limitations of the article, as well as those indicated by the authors. Your thoughts about whether the intervention should be adopted as well as implications for future research and nursing practice should also be included.
