2, Extract every vehicles in video based on the estimated background. 

A normal video has 25-30 frames in every second. Calculate the mean value of each pixel after going through it (median value). Most of the time, the background element should be the ground instead of the moving cars, which could be screened out.

If at a certain time, the pixel value is quite different from previous value, you could skip it (do not take it into the calculation of mean value), it must be a car moving through.
