You and the support team have been working now with Roman for over 3 months and in that time, his violent verbal behaviour has been observed, recorded, analysed and understood and it is now time for a comprehensive formal review of Roman’s preliminary Individualised Plan with all its component parts – lifestyle enhancement strategies, health and well-being strategies, behaviour support plan, medication regime, nutritional plan, daily activities plan, mobility plan etc.
The analysis of Roman’s behaviour issues have found (not unexpectedly) that his behaviour is connected with- the loss of his partner Peter, the loss of his career as a sportsman and loss of his sense of purpose and individuality. The loss of his family support made it worse together with his fear and frustration at having to adapt to a new way of life that is so different to how it was before.
Overall, in your conversations with Roman, he has come to understand that his behaviour is the result of many factors related to unresolved grief, fear and loss in general.
