Report Writing Assignment:

Task: The assignment requires students to be able to present their understanding of the meaning and importance of employment relations, show and understanding of the t relevant information on current hospitality employment issues. This will involve students identifying and gathering information from a number of reliable sources and critically analysing that information and presenting it to students in the class room environment in a style that is informative, concise, instructive and interesting. Areas to discuss include: 1. The importance of employment relations and their impact in terms of efficiency and equity 2. Discuss the alternative approaches employment relations. 3. Including: Neoclassical economics, Human resource management, Marxism, and Employment relations, 4. The three values of unitarism, pluralism and radicalism Presentations must include: 1. An index 2. An introduction 3. Body of the wok which includes the issues noted above 4. Conclusion summarising the main findings 5. APA bibliography Students are required to conduct active research utilising government websites such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, information from representative organisations such as unions and employer groups and journal article. Valid industry examples must be included, whether they be from secondary sources or documented primary evidence (such as, photos or interviews).
