Task: 1. Programming: Implement K-L expansion in R. Write a function called KLExpand and store it in a file named KLExpand.R. Make sure to source this file in all parts that require it. The function should take a data matrix as its first argument, with data in columns, and should have feature values, eigenvectors, and eigenvalues as its first three outputs. Additional inputs and outputs are up to you. The comments in your code must specifically describe the requirements for all inputs and the meaning and format of all outputs. It must be possible to reconstruct the original data from the output of your function. 2. Programming: Apply your K-L expansion function from part a to the SCA data in hemo.mat. Determine the dimensionality of the feature space. Submit your code for this problem as hw3q1b.R. The grader must be able to reproduce your results simply by running the file. Your code should print out only what the grader needs to see – in this case just the dimensionality of the feature space.
