As an experienced business analyst, you are asked to read the process model carefully and find the BPMN syntax errors. What you need to do Example answer: Error 1: “F is incorrect because [……..]. It should be modelled using [……..]” • • • Each paragraph should cross-reference the BPMN constructs on the process model which are marked with a letter (A, B, C, …). • Each paragraph should correctly name the construct that you have identified as an error and describe why your identified error is an incorrect practice of BPMN modelling guidelines.
• Ensure that each paragraph cross-references the letter that you have found on the BPMN model. You can number your paragraphs as Error 1, Error 2, …, Error 4. See below for an example answer. In the process model below, the BPMN constructs are marked alphabetically from A-Z. Only --5 4 of these constructs are incorrectly used in modelling the process. You need to find these --5 4 errors. You must write your results in a brief report, consisting of five ---- four short paragraphs (maximum 100 words per error). Page 2 of 10 Each correctly identified and correctly explained error in your analysis is worth 2.5 marks. You must only identify 5 4 errors. We will not mark more than 5 4 errors.
Scenario:
Recruitment process at BISMoB Bank BISMoB Talent Acquisition Department in BISMoB Bank is made up of five talent specialists and a talent manager. Here is how the recruitment process works in BISMoB: The process starts when an applicant submits their expression of interest (EOI) letter to the bank’s Talent Acquisition Department, which is received by the talent specialist. Once an EOI is received, a talent specialist reviews the EOI and then invites the applicant to an initial interview. Then the talent specialists conduct an initial interview with the applicant. If, based on the initial interview, the talent specialist decides that an applicant matches the employment criteria, the talent specialist will ask the applicant to complete an application documentation package. The application documentation package includes full details of the applicant’s skills relevant to the job, and the applicant’s CV and recommendation letters as part of the documentation package. However, if the talent specialist decides, based on the initial interview, that the applicant does not match the job requirements, then they will store the information in talent database (for future reference), and then will conclude the process by sending a rejection notification to applicant. As a next step, the talent specialist receives the completed application form and documentation package from the applicant. The talent specialist then checks the application form and documentation package for completeness. If the documentation is complete, then the talent specialists will start a certification assessment process which is a whole process by itself. If the application is not complete, then the process is terminated since the bank is looking for people with attention to details. Once the certification assessment is complete, then the application will be reviewed by the talent manager. While the talent manager is reviewing the application, the talent specialist communicates with the applicant’s referees. The process continues only after communication with referees is completed and the talent manager has reviewed the application. The next step is a whole process by itself and it is called the recruitment interview.
