Description You are contacted by a Medical centerownerwho wants you to help with making a Website for an online Medical System that will help the Center in managing the bookings for the Patient appointment. Currently, Centermaintains amanual booking systemthatisincreasingly becoming difficulttomanage for the staff. The current system is erroneous and time taking.
 

Current System:
Currently, for Booking an appointment, patients call or come in person to the Medical Center. TheCenter receptionist helps them to choose the Appointment based on various factors – Day, Time, Duration of examination, and Doctor availability.
The receptionist will then suggest them if the booking is available and then patient will confirm the booking. But currently, a lot of time is spent to find a suitable Date and time, checking Doctor availability as well as to be sure that the nurse is available for the whole time as perthe patient request.
 

The main objectives of this New Medical systemare:
Scheduling System - A patient record and scheduling system in a Medical office are used by the patients, receptionists, nurses, and doctors. The receptionists use the system to enter new patient information when first-time patients visit the doctor. They also can schedule the appointments. Patient can request an appointment online through application or call receptionist for making booking. Before making the appointment the system needs to ask the patient which doctor they wish to see, for which medical reason, preferred date and if the appointment is a standard appointment or urgent appointment. The system will use this information, check the appointment schedule, and find a free slot and make the booking. Receptionists or patients can also cancel appointments. Each doctor has a maximum of 2000 patients registered to them.

Patient Record - When the patient sees the Dr, the Dr will sometimes issue a prescription. The patient may at some time request a repeat issue of their prescription. The nurses use the system to keep track of the results of each visit including diagnosis and medications. For each visit, free form text fields are used captures information on diagnosis and treatment. Multiple medications may be prescribed during each visit. The nurses can also access the information to print out a history of patient visits. The doctors primarily use the system to view patient history. The doctors may enter some patient treatment information and prescriptions occasionally, but most frequently they let the nurses enter this information. Patients can pay online or at the office when receptionist is responsible for the appointment payment.
-- Each patient is assigned to a Family insurance with information about the Name of Insurance company, Family Head, Telephone, and Policy number. The head of family is responsible for the person with the primary medical coverage. Information about doctors is maintained since a family has a primary care physician, but different doctors may be the ones seeing the patient during the visit.
