b) Calculate the Re-Order Point (ROP)
c) Determine the total annual costs associated with your recommended EOQ
d) If holding costs were to increase to 30%, what would be the effect on EOQ, ROP and total annual costs? Explain your answer.
Question 4
A manufacturer whose headquarters are in Manchester is planning on opening a new DC in Edinburgh. The new DC will supply four outlet stores in the Edinburgh area. d) At what centre-of-gravity coordinates should the new store be located? Explain the solution method and the results.
e) The outlet stores each projected to grow by 15% in the next year. How will this influence the new DC’s location (coordinates)? Explain your answer.
