This assessment tests your ability to produce a viable and justifiable research project for your dissertation including the design of an appropriate approach to the research methodology. LO1, LO3, & LO5. The hardest part of any undergraduate dissertation is choosing a suitable topic that is interesting enough for you to spend an academic year reading, researching and writing about as well as being achievable in terms of finding enough primary research material and participants to use and /or gain access to. Your chosen topic should be drawn from a topic within your degree area, e.g. Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Business Management, HR etc. This assignment is designed to assist you with this process so that you can:

• Identify a suitable range of topics from which to choose.
• Construct a coherent argument for the research topic.
• Evaluate a range of primary research options from which to choose and justify the most appropriate research methods identified for the completion of the dissertation.
• Demonstrate your independent learning skills and professional graduate competencies.
