Task Details/Description:

The coursework assumes you are acting as consultant for a company on the specification an Enterprise system. A business case will be provided in describing the scenario in a separate document.This is an individual report, and you will submit one report.

Deliverables:

The deliverables of the report are given below.

D1-Individual report (70%): You will evaluate a business scenario and propose a solution in the form of the specification of an enterprise system which will address at least one strategically important need in the company. Assessment around on-premise vs cloud ERP will be desirable.

You will be provided with a case document that describes the scenario. You will also be able to address pertinent questions to the client via the discussion forum on Blackboard. The client may reserve the right not to answer all questions.

Your report is an individual submission. The sections outlined below may be used as a guide, but they need be consistent and describe a coherent solution and ensure the report makes good sense.

We expect the report to take the form of a consultancy report, not an essay. You are therefore encouraged to use flowcharts, diagrams and tables to present relevant information systematically. It should be addressed as if to the management of the company.

Expected Section Headings:

Introduction: aim to be succinct, the reader needs to know the main issues of the company, the aims of the solution and main recommendations.

Assessment of the scenario: you need to address at least these questions. What are the issues facing the case company? Which of these can be addressed with business systems? Which are most important from a strategic viewpoint? Which are the most urgent? Based on this assessment, what will the proposed solution aim to do?
