The current study sought to investigate the lateralisation of attention, specifically focussing on the speed of attention orienting to left and right visual fields. It was hypothesised the participants with low autism traits would demonstrate a significant left visual field bias, as reflected in a faster reaction time scores to left compared with right visual field targets. It was further hypothesised that participants with high autism traits would demonstrate a reduced left visual field bias, as reflected the absence of a difference in reaction time scores comparing left and right visual field targets.
