A 50 years old female was presented to hospital with worsening headaches. The CT scans noted a suspicious mass. The pathology was consistent with glioblastoma with large area of vasogenic edema in the left side of brain including frontal, parietal and temporal lobes. There was significant edema with effacement of the sulci and mild midline shift to the right. The left lateral ventricle is affected by the swollen brain with the septum pellucidum shifted to the right.

You need to write an introduction about glioblastoma (e.g. definition, special group at risk, mortality and morbidity). Your writing should be supported by at least six primary references (scientific journal articles). Overall the introduction should appropriately describe the background information associated to this type of cancer.

In week 2, you need to work as a team to collate and analyse MRI images in Anatomage to obtain images covering the affected brain areas by the mass. You may use three dimensional images to identify what brain areas might have been affected by the mass including areas with inflammation. You can use the axial head/brain images and plastic models to orient the affected brain areas to identify the potential damaged brain structures. Your images should cover areas of the brain affected by the tumor. When you acquire the images, you need to save them in a folder in Anatomage which will then be uploaded by the unit coordinator on the Bb.

You need to collect 5-6 images covering the damaged areas of the brain. You need to put all your images in a logical order in a form of 1-2 panels. You can use PowerPoint or other software to prepare the panel. For each image, label the major brain using arrow heads, double arrow heads and line techniques (do not place numbers onto the structures in the image). The image needs to be in the anatomical position, have navigation, be numbered or lettered, labelled, annotated and the panel needs to have a proper heading and a figure legend. Your labelling should be neat and avoid cluttering or crossing of lines where possible. The images should be numbered/lettered based on the order appeared in the text. The affected brain structures/gyri should be explained by using correct anatomical terminology. Figures are correctly referenced throughout the description
