• Due date/time allowed The assessment must be submitted by the due date noted on the Unit Assessment Guide.
• Students should allow a minimum of six hours to complete this assessment. Students may need additional time for preparation, research and revision to ensure they have responded to each question satisfactorily.
• Assessment feedback, review or appeals In accordance with the TAFE NSW policy Manage Assessment Appeals, all students have the right to appeal an assessment decision in relation to how the assessment was conducted and the outcome of the assessment. • Research the ASX Corporate Governance Council 2019, Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations, 4th edition.
• Outline the purpose of the ASX Principles and Recommendations for corporate entities. Your response should be approximately 100-150 words.
• Choose two Principles that relate to an organisation with which you are familiar.
• Name the organisation and describe its business structure i.e. sole trader, corporation, partnership, not-for profit. Your response should be approximately 25-50 words.
• Review and describe two ASX Principles relevant to the nominated organisation in your own words, to identify corporate governance requirements. Your response should be approximately 100-200 words.
• For each of the two Principles, read the recommendations and commentary in the ASX document and Learner Guide to identify and analyse at least two governance reporting trends related to the Principles. Your response should be approximately 200-300 words.
