Your task 

You work for Australian hardware as the marketing communication manager. Appendix 1 provides you with the company marketing information. Your CEO has gone through an article about marketing convergence (see Appendix 2 for the article) and very keen on “convergence” because it has come to mean something different to just about everybody you ask: “fixed and mobile,” “voice and data,” “access devices,” “media and entertainment,” “unified communications” and the list goes on. He asked you to work effectively within the convergent marketing communication industry and apply the convergent marketing tools in the marketing process. He asked you to undertake the following activities in your project: 

Project 

1. Review the traditional roles and client groups serviced by the marketing, advertising and public relations sectors (identify minimum three traditional roles and client groups). 

2. Research and identify the convergent environment for marketing communication in establishing a client solution and potential points of integration. 

3. Determine how to utilise the impact of capacity in communications technology and the impact of ubiquitous enabled mobile devices. 

4. Develop a system to integrate the rise in ‘customer-centric’ and the ‘empowered customer’ in client solutions. 

5. Develop client and customer messaging that can be engaged by a target group across multiple distribution points. 

6. Establish processes through convergent marketing that empower customers. 

7. Create two techniques and solutions that are effective within a convergent media environment suitable for use within a divergent media environment. 

8. Review and confirm the fit-for-purpose and cost effectiveness of above tools and techniques
