Scenario: As a market analyst, working in a digital marketing agency, you have been asked write a short report on your industry topic / issue (1200-2000words).  This report will be shared amongst your work colleagues to keep them updated on the issue/challenge.


1.Executive Summary 
The Executive Summary is written last, after you have completed your report.  It provides a summary of findings found in the report, as well as highlighting key points. Executive Summaries can be read as stand-alone and usually used when the reader does not have time to read the full report.   It provides a brief description of the issue, the objective of the report eg. why have you been asked to prepare this report?  It summarises methodology, key findings, highlights relevant data and summarises recommendations. 

2.Background
•Outline the issue / challenge faced by marketeers in 2020/2021.  Focus on the reason it affects the Marketing and Communications industry.  
•You must include facts/figures/graphs.  If you have more than one graph/table, please insert additional graphs/tables in the Appendix if you have more than one.

3.Research Methodology 
•Explain the importance of research within your organisation.  
•Explain how you researched the issues eg. the process / steps you undertook
•Did you use formal, informal methods or both?  Why?
•What tools / sources did you use? Why?

4.Validation of data
•Explain the importance of validating data collected from websites. 
•Use Molly Beestrum’s CRAP test to evaluate the tools / sources you are using in this report, more specifically the credibility of the websites as a valid source.
•Explain how you used the CRAP method to validation information collected from each tool / source.  
•What were the outcomes (eg. Was the data credible?)
•What limitations did you find when using the CRAP test and how did you overcome these issues?
•Are there any other validation tools you could have used instead of CRAP?

5.Research the issue
•Outline the opportunities and threats posed by the issue / challenge you are researching, in the Marketing and Communications ecosystem.
•Explain how the issue affects /impacts the Marketing and Communications Industry
•Explain how the issue affects / impacts the organisation you work in (an agency scenario)
•Explain how the issue affects / impacts your clients
•Explain how the issue affects / impacts your role in the work place (as a market analyst)

6.Monitor and updates
•Outline how you will monitor and update information in regards to this issue, when, how often.  
•What process will you put in place in your own work processes to ensure you monitor and update your organisations information?
•Other than writing and distributing this report, what other tools would you use to share information with your colleagues and clients?

8.Recommendations
•Outline the recommendations or actions the organisation (agency)should implement to take advantage of the opportunities provided by this issue / challenge.
•Outline the recommendations or actions the organisation (agency) should implement   to limit the threats that this issue / challenge poses? 
•Outline the recommendations or actions you would suggest to be implemented within you agency and your work role, to ensure you are continually learning, updating your knowledge and that of your colleagues, and sharing that information?
