You have been employed as a Quality Management Consultant to prepare a Quality Management Plan (QMP) to monitor and control the quality for a building project you are working on. 

You can choose a project that you are currently working on or select an appropriate building project from Estimate One. You must give a project description in your QMP. Your QMP must relate to your chosen project.

Your Manager has asked that you MUST ensure your Quality Management Plan incorporates the following key topics at a minimum (but you are not limited to the following).

1. Determine quality requirements

1.1. List and describe 3 of your project’s quality objectives , standards and levels, with input from stakeholders and guidance of a higher project authority, to establish the basis for quality outcomes and a quality management plan 

1.2. List and describe 3 established quality management methods , techniques and tools that you have used to determine preferred mix of quality, capability, cost and time and explain why you have chosen these tools/methods/techniques.

1.3. List and describe 3 of your project’s quality criteria, by obtaining agreement from a higher project authority and communication to stakeholders, to ensure clarity of understanding and achievement of quality and overall project objectives and explain why you have chosen these.

1.4. List and describe 3 agreed quality requirements in the project quality plan that was chosen and implemented as basis for performance measurement and explain why you chose these requirements.

2. Implement quality assurance processes

2.1. Explain how you measured and documented results of project activities and product performance throughout the project life cycle to determine compliance with agreed quality standards

2.2. List and explain the causes of 3 unsatisfactory results, in consultation with client, and recommend appropriate actions to a higher project authority to enable continuous improvement in quality outcomes

2.3. Explain how you conducted inspections of quality processes and quality control results to determine compliance of quality standards to overall quality objectives

2.4. Explain how you maintained a quality management system to enable effective recording and communication of quality issues and outcomes to a higher project authority and stakeholders

3. Implement project quality improvements

3.1. Explain how you reviewed processes and implemented 3 agreed changes continually throughout the project life cycle to ensure continuous quality improvement 

3.2. Explain how you reviewed 3 project outcomes against 3 performance criteria’s to determine the effectiveness of quality management processes and procedures

3.3. Explain how you identified and documented 3 lessons learnt and 3 recommended improvements , and passed on to higher project authority for application in future projects.
