Instructions You have been selected to be the Project Manager for a project in the workplace. Choose one scenario from the four options below. Prepare a Project Initiation Document (PID). You can use templates, policy and procedures from your workplace or use the templates provided and the policies and procedures of the simulated environment of Superior Implements (SIM Co). You must reference your work, source study topics on the TAFE Qld Connect LMS, as well as any additional resources and own research to complete this assessment task.
 

Scenario A
A real workplace project that would span approximately 3-6 months. Discuss with your teacher. When choosing your project, keep in mind the characteristics of a project:

? A defined life span with a defined beginning and end;
? Involves other stakeholders;
? It is something unique;
? Specific time, cost and performance requirements.
 

Scenario B

Superior Implements (SIM Co.) want to run a new marketing campaign. They want to try a new social media campaign for three months as they are currently only using Facebook. SIM Co would also like to incorporate a flyer drop in a local shopping centre with offers such as buy one, get one free coffee.
 

Scenario C

Superior Implements (SIM Co.) want to hold an achievement party for all of their 50 staff plus their partners, sometime within the next six months. They want to:

•  hold a sit-down dinner event at a nearby venue, with live entertainment and a three course meal;
•  present awards to best staff members and give each staff member a small gift (under $50 each);
•  organise transport to and from the event for local and interstate guests.
