You are required to:

• Complete several activities relating to a series of case studies including:

• Collaborating with others to develop a project vision. 

• Develop a Project Leadership Plan. 

• Deliver a presentation outlining your project leadership plan.  

Assessment evidence (deliverables) 

You must submit the following evidence:

1. Participate in a group discussion with other students to identify a vision statement for the project outlined in Appendix A. (Part A)

2. Develop a plan which detailing a range of elements related to your approach to leading the project outlined in Appendix A. (Part B)

3. Develop and deliver a 10-15-minute presentation which summarises the plan completed as part of Part B of this assessment. (Part C)

Part A                                                                                                                                 

For this part of the assessment task you will need to participate in a meeting with your fellow students. During the meeting you will discuss the case study outlined in Appendix A and develop a vision statement for the project. 

Specifically, you will need to: 

• Form a group with your fellow students (between 3-5 members) 

• Conduct a meeting where you collaborate with others to develop and document a vision for the project outlined in Appendix A.  

• Film the meeting. (Screen shot with group members and trainer)

• Submit a file (MP4 or WAV format) of the filmed meeting. (Zoom video recorded)

During the meeting, your assessor will be looking to see that you:

• Collaborate productively with others in the group.                                                 

• Negotiate to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes.                                      

• Present ideas and make a positive contribution to the meeting.                     

• Come to agreement with the group about a vision for the project outlined in Appendix A. 

Part B                                                                                                                              

For this part of the assessment task you will write a Project Leadership Plan which outlines your approach to several factors relating to the leadership of the project.   

Specifically, you will need to: 

• Access and use the template provided in Appendix B (also available for download from Moodle). 

• Complete the template in its entirety. 

The plan must:

• Outline the project’s vision (as determined as part of Part A of this assessment)

• Explain how you will promote ethical behaviour and how reporting of ethical breaches will be managed.                                                                                     

• Explain the leadership skills you intend to use throughout the project.         

• Explain how you intend to sustain commitment to the project’s vision.
