It will require students working together on-line to discuss and prepare the audio presentation. Groups are asked to identify a major health issue/health policy relating to either healthcare or health public policy. The policy can be either a local (health organisation) state (province) or national policy issue or initiative. Groups are asked to prepare a presentation of the policy with the emphasis on; BUHEA6902- Identifying the issues which contributed to the need for the policy (e.g. infection control and the need for ‘Handwashing Policy’; workplace violence and the need for ‘Zero Tolerance to Aggression Policy’, breastfeeding and ‘Baby-Friendly Hospital’ Policy). The major content for the presentation is understanding the issues leading to the introduction of the selected policy. Presentations should provide statistics and research findings to support the need for policy.
