Highlights
Overview
This unit has been created to help students design innovative new products and services that surpass user and customer needs. The unit gives students insights into the creative and innovative design processes, as observed in our most creative thinkers. At the same time, this unit gives students opportunities to explore their own creative capabilities and give them access to a variety of creative and practical array of outcomes, to develop solutions facing a user or solutions based on the ‘user-experience’ that address specific ‘design challenges.
Students learn the fundamentals of various design methodologies i.e., delft design, design thinking, humancentered design, circular design, biomimetic design, systemic design etc., along with the application of other innovative and creative tools, processes, and approaches. Our aim is to deliver a practical experience with emphasis on the application of the learnt tools and processes on real local and global issues / challenges to develop potential product and service solutions, that also address at least 4 of the 17 SDGs to create an equitable, just and thriving world for all.
